Technique analysis: phone video and swing phases

A player uploads a video of their game from the phone and gets a review: shots, court movement, technique errors and a 0–100 score for each stroke phase. Works without a smart court too. The video is deleted after processing — numbers, short shot clips and tips remain.

Technique analysis: AI Padel screen

What it is and why

Not every club has a smart court, but everyone wants to improve. Technique analysis works from an ordinary phone video: the player films their game with the court in frame and uploads it in the app.

The server finds the court and players, counts shots and movement and checks strokes against technique rules set by the club coach. The coach sees students' reviews in the admin panel.

What it does

Technique analysis

  • A phone video — analysis even without a smart court
  • Shots, movement across court zones, short shot clips
  • Technique errors by rules that the club coach sets up
  • Swing phase score /100: preparation, backswing, contact, follow-through
What the court needs

The player app; film with the phone so that the court is in the frame.

How it works

How it works

  1. Filming

The player films the game on a phone with the court in frame.

  2. Upload

Uploads the video in the app; corrects the court corners if needed.

  3. Court and players

The server finds the court and players in the video.

  4. Shots and movement

Shots and movement by court zone are counted; short shot clips are cut.

  5. Technique by rules

Strokes are checked against the club coach's rules; stroke phases get a score /100.

  6. Result

The review with stroke phases and tips is in the app; the coach sees it in the admin panel. The video is deleted.

In detail

Technique analysis

Technique analysis from a phone video

The player uploads a video of a game from a phone. The server finds the court and the players — the player can adjust the court corners — counts shots and movement across court zones and checks strokes against technique rules that the club coach sets up in the admin. The video is deleted right after processing; the figures, short shot clips and training tips remain.

Swing phases /100

Each swing phase — preparation, backswing, contact, follow-through — gets a score from 0 to 100: the share of shots in which the rules of that phase found no errors. Backswing and contact are scored on volleys and overheads. With fewer than two measured shots there is no score. The score is shown in the app and in the coach's admin.

Limits, honestly

Limits, honestly

  • Quality depends on filming: the court must be in frame and the player not too far away.
  • Backswing and contact are scored on volleys and overheads; with fewer than two measured shots there is no score.
  • This is an estimate from phone video, not from smart-court 3D poses.
  • The video is deleted right after processing — it cannot be rewatched in the app.
