AI coach: a match review after the game

A few minutes after the match the player gets a “Match review ready” notification: what worked, what did not and what to practise for the next game — from the numbers of their own match, captured by the court cameras.

AI coach: AI Padel screen

What it is and why

After an amateur match usually only the score and a feeling of “it did not go today” remain. The AI coach turns the match recording into a clear review: distance and positions, the shots played, where position was lost — and one or two concrete tips.

A language model writes the review, but only from the numbers the court server computed from the cameras: the player's movement and shots. It does not invent the score or facts and changes nothing — neither score nor rating.

What it does

AI coach

  • The review arrives by itself after the match as an app notification
  • The player's numbers from the court cameras: distance, speed, court zones
  • Shots by type — an automatic estimate from video, labelled as such
  • One or two tips on what to train before the next game
What the court needs

An AI Padel smart court and the AI Padel app; the player must be signed up for the match.

How it works

How it works

  1. A match on a smart court

The player is in the match — via the QR code on the terminal or the booking in the app.

  2. Numbers from cameras

The court server computes each player's movement — distance, speed, court zones — and shots from video.

  3. A review from numbers

A language model writes the review only from these numbers: what worked and what to practise.

  4. Notification

The player gets a “Match review ready” notification.

  5. Match card

The review opens in the match card next to the video and statistics.

  6. For the next game

One or two tips on what to focus on in the next match or practice.

Court 4, a real training session at half speed: every player's body position as the court cameras see it; faces blurred
Court terminal: the post-match analysis — both teams, the shot map and shot types (test match)

What you will see

What you will see

Player in the app

The notification and the review in the match card: numbers, shots by type, tips.

Coach

Students' reviews — a starting point for a practice session.

Club

Value in every booking: the player gets a review without buying a separate lesson.

Limits, honestly

Limits, honestly

  • Shots by type are an automatic estimate from video; the review marks this.
  • The review does not replace a live coach: it points at what to watch, it does not build technique.
  • Only players registered in the match get a review; a guest without the app has nowhere to receive it.
  • The review changes nothing — neither score nor rating.

Questions and answers

Questions and answers

Does the review change score or rating?

No. It only explains the game; the court cameras keep the score, corrections are made by a coach with a PIN.

Where do the numbers come from?

From the court cameras: the player's movement and shots from the match video analysis.

How long does it take?

Usually a few minutes after the match ends.

Do I need to tap anything?

No, the review arrives by itself as a notification.

Who gets a review?

Every player registered in the match — their own review.

Can the AI be wrong?

Numbers come from cameras; shot types are an automatic estimate, marked as such. The model does not invent score or facts.

Does it replace a coach?

No, it shows what to look at; a live coach builds technique.

Where are old reviews?

In match cards under My games.
